The places highlighted below are just some of the fantastic areas to explore in our local area. Everything shown is either walkable, or under a 20min drive from Pink Heather. It really is the perfect location to explore North Devon.

Broadsands Beach – This is a one of our favourite places in all of Devon, and it’s so nearby! This hidden gem is the beach that keeps on giving – from peaceful early morning strolls, fantastic day trips out paddleboarding & swimming, all day sun bathing, or late evening picnics, it really is the perfect spot. Only catch… you have to walk about 200 steps down to get to it – but worth every step!
Barricane Beach – Like the beach? Like a delicious Sri Lankan curry dinner? Well… this is the place for you! The Barricane Beach Cafe is open from about 10 am everyday. Lunch menu served until 4pm (including baguettes, ciabattas and wraps along with drinks, ice creams and snacks), Sri Lankan Curries are on every evening from 5-7 pm as long as it isn’t heavy rain! No bookings needed – just turn up … bring a blanket or beach chair and a bottle of your favourite tipple and watch the sunset.
